Medela personal breast pumps have a closed system that prevents milk from entering the tube when used as directed. IMPORTANT: Under no circumstances should the hose be cleaned or rinsed. Inspect the tubing before use. If condensation, breast milk, or mold appears in the tubing, discontinue use and replace the tubing. Do not use the breast pump with a wet tube as this will damage the breast pump.
